Frisco drivers should prepare for traffic delays this week due to ongoing road construction projects aimed at improving traffic flow and infrastructure.
The most significant work is occurring at the intersection of Preston Road and Warren Parkway. Crews are adding a second left-turn lane and a third through lane on westbound Warren Parkway, as well as a new northbound right-turn lane on Preston Road into Prestmont Place. To accommodate these additions, both outside and median curbs are being shifted outward.
Additional improvements at the intersection include:
Construction began in January, but lane closures are now in effect between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The project is expected to be completed later this year, though weather conditions could affect the timeline.
