Frisco City Council has approved over $3.5 million in contracts for various infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the city’s public spaces and facilities.
Rail District Enhancements

A significant portion of the approved funds is allocated to the redevelopment of the Rail District. The city will pay Oncor over half a million dollars to relocate services and structures along Main Street and within the 4th Street Plaza. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize downtown Frisco, with Main Street construction expected to conclude by late 2025 and the 4th Street Plaza anticipated to open in spring 2026.

Alley Reconstruction Projects

The council also approved a $2.9 million contract with KIK Underground LLC for the reconstruction of alleys in the Preston Manor and Preston Lakes subdivisions. This project aims to improve infrastructure in these residential areas, enhancing accessibility and safety for residents.

Design Services for New Facilities

Additionally, the city has entered into a $78,000 agreement with BRW Architects for design services related to a new fire station and a fleet services maintenance facility. These projects are intended to bolster the city’s emergency response capabilities and support municipal operations.

These developments reflect Frisco’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and public amenities, contributing to the city’s ongoing growth and the well-being of it residents.
