Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) trustees have approved maximum prices for a series of renovation and upgrade projects totaling over $77 million, set to commence this summer across multiple campuses and facilities. ​

Project Details:

  • Lamar Middle School, Facilities Service Center, Welcome Center, and Old Settlers Elementary (one wing): Comprehensive maintenance and repair work with a guaranteed maximum price of approximately $8.5 million.​
  • Hebron High School: Extensive renovations, including updates to classrooms, gyms, auditorium, and annex, with a guaranteed maximum price of around $27.1 million. ​
  • The Colony High School: Partial maintenance and repair work approved with a guaranteed maximum price of about $6.09 million.​
  • Marcus High School: Partial maintenance and repair work approved with a guaranteed maximum price of approximately $10.9 million.​
  • Castle Hills Elementary School: Initial phase of renovations focusing on ceiling and roof upgrades, including electrical and mechanical hardware, with a guaranteed maximum price of $6.4 million. The remaining work will be presented for approval in April. ​

Scope of Work:

The approved projects encompass a variety of life-cycle maintenance and repair upgrades, which may include:​

  • Roof replacements or repairs​
  • HVAC system updates​
  • Fire alarm system enhancements​
  • Furniture and flooring replacements​
  • Lighting improvements​
  • Door and hardware upgrades​
  • Generator installations​
  • Painting​

These initiatives are part of LISD’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve its educational facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students and staff.​
