In the May 4 election, Flower Mound residents voted in favor of both propositions of a $112 million bond package aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing parks and recreation throughout the town.
Proposition A, which allocates approximately $95.7 million, will fund major street improvements, including the reconstruction of aging roads and traffic safety upgrades. This proposition received support from about 66% of voters.
Proposition B, focused on parks and recreation, was also approved with around 59% voter support. The $16.3 million will be used to enhance park facilities, expand trail systems, and support upgrades to the Community Activity Center.
Town officials have stated that the bond package is designed to address both current needs and future growth without increasing the town’s property tax rate.
With the bond approved, Flower Mound will begin planning and implementation phases for the listed projects over the coming years.
This voter-approved investment reflects the community’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure, safety, and quality of life.
