The Flower Mound Town Council has unanimously voted to postpone its decision on the proposed Lakeside East development, a 21-acre mixed-use project envisioned by Realty Capital Management. The decision to table the proposal came during the council’s meeting on April 7, 2025, following a recommendation of denial from the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
Realty Capital Management, the developer behind the existing 160-acre Lakeside community, aims to expand the development across FM 2499 onto the northeast corner of Lakeside Parkway. The proposed Lakeside East project includes plans for 350 luxury rental residences, a four-story office building, a hotel, retail spaces, and multiple open spaces such as an arts plaza and public trails.
The delay in the council’s decision allows for further review and consideration of the project’s impact on the community. Realty Capital Management has expressed its commitment to working with town officials and residents to address concerns and refine the proposal to align with the town’s vision for development.
As discussions continue, the future of the Lakeside East development remains uncertain, pending further deliberation by the Flower Mound Town Council.
