A planned power outage is scheduled for Sunday, June 30, affecting portions of Argyle and the Canyon Falls neighborhood. The outage is expected to last from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to an announcement from CoServ, the area’s electric utility provider.

The planned disruption is part of an infrastructure upgrade project aimed at replacing and improving key electrical equipment to ensure long-term reliability of service.

Residents in the affected areas should have received advance notice from CoServ through door hangers and email notifications.

To prepare for the outage, CoServ advises residents to:

  • Charge essential electronic devices in advance
  • Unplug sensitive appliances and electronics
  • Keep flashlights or backup lighting handy
  • Avoid using elevators or garage doors that require electricity

This outage is not related to ERCOT’s grid management or statewide conservation efforts. It is a local project carried out by CoServ to improve electrical performance in the area.

Those with medical equipment or other special needs requiring electricity are encouraged to contact CoServ for additional support.
