Colleyville to Launch Sidewalk Projects on Bransford Road & Montclair Drive in August

Colleyville, TX The Colleyville City Council has given the green light to two major sidewalk projects, with construction expected to begin this August.

Project Highlights

Bransford Road
- A new 18,000 sq ft walking path will run from Shelton Drive to Colleyville City Park.
- Storm drainage enhancements are planned between Leila Lane and Field Street.
- The project is budgeted at $991,222, funded through the city’s Capital Improvement Program .
Montclair Drive
- A new sidewalk on the east side between Hall Johnson and Glade Road will fill existing pedestrian gaps.
- The scope includes drainage installations, grading, and landscape restoration.
- Allocated funds total $507,993, also from CIP funds.

A pre-construction meeting will finalize the start and duration of both projects, with the Capital Projects team confirming an August kickoff.

Additional Sidewalk Initiatives

In the same meeting on June 17, council members also earmarked funds to support future sidewalks on:

Cheek-Sparger Road
- Allocated $521,460 to begin design work for a new 10‑ft sidewalk spanning about 2.4 miles from Silverwood Lane to Bedford Road.
- The full project estimate is $2.61 million, with the city seeking Texas Department of Transportation grants.
Heritage Avenue
- Secured $80,116 toward a sidewalk between Cheek-Sparger Road and Guadalupe Drive.
- The total project cost stands at $400,582, contingent on TxDOT funding.
