Celina, Texas, is exploring the launch of a new community hub and retail incubator in its Downtown Center. The proposed storefront aims to serve as a branded retail and experiential space that celebrates Celina’s identity through merchandise and storytelling. Additionally, it would function as the city’s first retail incubation space, supporting local businesses and featuring local artists.

The Celina Economic Development Corporation (EDC) discussed the initiative during its May 6 meeting. The plan includes offering micro-booth opportunities for vendors, with rotations occurring monthly or seasonally. The overarching goal is to boost downtown foot traffic, foster entrepreneurship, and enhance the visitor experience. The space could also serve as an informational center for downtown attractions and events.

Staffing for the hub would be managed by the Celina EDC, with volunteers assisting during peak hours. Before moving forward, the EDC must approve the project, after which officials will develop frameworks for local artist and vendor programs and finalize operational structures.

This initiative reflects Celina’s commitment to supporting local businesses and enriching the community experience.
