On April 1, 2025, the Grapevine City Council approved an agreement with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to enhance fiber-optic connectivity within the city. The agreement involves a shared fiber internet crossing at the intersection of Baylor Parkway and Ira E. Woods Avenue, facilitating improved digital infrastructure for both the city of Grapevine and the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District (GCISD).

This collaboration underscores Grapevine’s commitment to advancing its technological capabilities and ensuring reliable internet access for municipal operations and educational institutions. By partnering with DART, the city aims to leverage existing transit infrastructure to support its digital initiatives.

In addition to the DART agreement, the council also approved a contract for a new ticket-purchasing system for the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau. This move is expected to streamline the ticketing process for events and attractions, enhancing the experience for both residents and visitors.

These developments reflect Grapevine’s proactive approach to infrastructure improvement and its dedication to fostering a connected, efficient community.
